Many of you have probably seen the Badgers animation that's doing the rounds at the moment. It's undeniably pretty neat, and deserves its fifteen minutes of fame before we all get so sick of it that we'll start killing badgers on sight…

Well, some kind soul has decided to help out a bit, and register the domain badgerbadgerbadger.com, and put up a copy there. Unfortunatley, this appears to be little more than an attempt to cash in on a fad and line their own pockets. There's a lovely little PayPal “Donate” badge on the page which does not go to the creator of the animation.

Please, don't pass that address around - and above all do not send any money via the link on that page. If you're feeling generous and want to thank someone for amusing you for a few minutes, go to the creators site and donate via the link there.

I'd be really grateful if anyone reading this who has a blog or anything could make a little note of the situation. Don't let this asshole get away with this. You're free to copy the above text verbatim if you like.

Yarr! Today is truely a great day for pirates and pirate-lovers, for today be International Talk Like A Pirate Day, and I'm proud to announce, it also be the first birthday of kilbot.net.

That's right, one year ago today kilbot.net was registered. At first I wasn't all that keen on him (I had my heart set on kilbot.com, and still harbour plans to take over that domain) but I have grown to love the little fella. Many have watched him grow from one page, to four pages, to the sprawling estate he has now become. Many watched as he gave his first shout in the shoutbot, and now look at him, we can hardly shut him up… and, of course, careful scientist has been here watching us all the while.

Perhaps when you're all a little older I'll tell you the sordid tale of how kilbot.net was conceived when ol' stewed kilbot mounted a shy (but willing) apple mac at The Factory christmas party.

Good old Wes is working on a new film. If you are a fan of his previous work (like me) this one sounds like a ripper. Bill Murray just keeps on getting better with age, unlike, say, Steve Martin.
