Wow, Sydney just loves to rub their meaty abundance in the face of Melbourne’s vegetarian ways… Mel went up to Sydney for a conference and took the digicam out for a tour with Kate Ford, she brought back these great photos (see full story). Unfortunately she didn’t bring back any chops.
It reminded me of that story we did in Pelican ’shake hands with beef’, 8 or 9 kg of veal fell of a truck and rolled onto the front lawn at UWA.

well i haven’t got much of interest to tell y’all… but i do want to push that picture of the main page as soon as i can, so here goes.
i’ve just been laying low in the city, looking for work and generally playing destitute. i will however make a foray into Melbournes sporting and theatre circles this weekend.
Sporting: obviously to watch the Dockers v. Richmond 2:10pm Sunday at the MCG. This will be my first time to the MCG and a good chance to watch the Dockers win interstate for… well… a long time.
Theatre: does anyone back in Perth remember Toby Schmitz? a very funny man who once strolled into the UWA Blue Stocking Week tent wearing only shoes and asked for a cigarette lighter. well anyways i saw an add for a play his has written and i thought i might go along and see what he is up to.

nat brunovs is over here at the moment, so we made this sign to greet her (and all the people from perth).

walking down brunswick street, cafés packed to the curb with the idle rich, coloured hair positioned upright with putty, clothes from dangerfield, kinki gerlinki and fat 52, long lunches on organic focaccia, coffee and wine… and laughing when one says “I hate work”.
