PARTY AT WOOLWICH

Posted by KL | Filed under: News

Perth crew and visiting easterners are encouraged to come to my abode on the night of April 2nd.

Food and liquor will be put on at 7:30pm.

We are celebrating the arrival of our new housemate Russell Withers, my new job as a journo at the Freo and Melville Heralds, Joey's mate moving in to the house behind ours, Marcus Whisson getting a photographer gig at the aforementioned Heralds and Brett Hirsch getting an article published in the Ben Johnson Journal.

These are reasons enough.

Anyone who wants to come and does not know the exact address should contact me.

  2. Giovanni says:

No, it's Ben Johnson, named for the disgraced Canadian sprinter.

  3. Ben Johnson says:

No, it's named after me - Collingwood champion, Ben Johnson.

  4. KL says:

Note: "champion" may not actually be a champion.

  5. Lu says:

i thought the disgraced Canadian sprinter was Ben Jonson - no 'h'

Speaking Canada (but for once not in conjunction with the word 'disgrace'); did anyone else hear/read that the Canadian station which normally televises the Commonwealth Games has refused to bid for rights for 2006. It seems that the Commonwealth Games will clash with paralympic curling which is a huge deal and a high-rating event in Canada.
What has the Commonwealth come to? I always said it should have stayed the Empire and Commonwealth Games, now look, it gets about as much respect as Rodney Dangerfield.

  7. Ben Johnson says:

    Ben Johnson
    Born: Dec. 30, 1961
    Canadian sprinter

Set 100m world record (9.83) at 1987 World Championships; won 100m at 1988 Olympics, but flunked drug test and forfeited gold medal; 1987 world record revoked in '89 for admitted steroid use; returned drug-free in 1991, but performed poorly; banned for life by IAAF in 1993 for testing positive again.

    I'm Ben Johnson.

    Hold my drink bitch.

  8. Ben Johnson says:

And I am rarely without a steady supply of 'H'.

    Enjoy yourselves.
